REACT Program FAQ's

All REACT Programs are designed to be informative, fun and interactive. Like any new program or learning session, not knowing what to expect makes people uncomfortable. Below are some of the most common questions we are asked about REACT Programs. These frequently asked questions should help alleviate any concerns one may have about participating in REACT. Realize that a significant part of self-protection is mental attitude and confidence. Many of the exercises build on natural tendencies and reactions. There are no tests at the end of our programs and every participant receives an information packet with real life scenarios and certificate of completion.

Q: Am I in good enough shape to take this class?
A: Our classes teach techniques that come from natural reactions. These techniques take minimal strength, are low impact and do not involve any kicking or throwing.

Q: Do you need to have any martial arts experience?
A: REACT is not a martial arts class. Our level 1 programs are for beginners and teaches basic concepts to help everyday people avoid becoming victims and effective methods of response, if attacked.

Q: How should I dress?
A: You can wear comfortable clothing you would where to a gym. Sweats, t-shirts and sneakers are perfect.

Q: I don't like going to these programs by myself. Is this 1 on 1 training?
A: REACT simulation drills are practiced in groups. The program lends itself to making new friends and meeting new people.

Q: Is training expensive? I cannot afford the cost of the program.
A: Most people cannot afford not to participate in this program. With work-related travel and activities, it is essential to learn the basic skills of awareness and self-protection.
